Needed to drain 18-month old gas out of a stored vehicle and this siphon pump worked like a charm. I used it in three ways. 1) long hose with brass weight stuffed deep into tank, pump into gas can until hose is full, clamp hose (clamp is included in kit) and remove bulb, unclamp and let gas flow freely. 2) For last bit of gas, use the bulb to hand pump gas out while moving the hose around on the bottom of the tank. 3) At the carb inlet (this is a classic car engine; no fuel injection) use bulb to pull remaining old fuel out of lines and prime the line full of fresh gas. A few sputtering starts with starting fluid, the carb bowl filled with fresh gas and engine roared to life. I spilled almost zero fuel during the entire process, which amazed me. I’d never drained a car’s fuel tank before and this turned out to be the perfect tool for the job.

I had to use the generator this week, so finally got around to trying out the siphon. Both the shake valve and the hand pump did their job well, although the flow was much slower with the squeeze bulb as shown on the video. My only problem was that the pinch clamp didn’t stop the flow completely. They could write a book on how to keep a customer happy. They are sending me out a replacement clip but I decided to install an in-line shut-off valve in its place because I think it will work better in the long run. I gave them a 5-star review for outstanding service

I purchased this for “summer-sizing” my snowblower. I wanted to drain the fuel completely and replace it with ethanol-free storage fuel. All the parts in this kit are very high quality. I am rating this 5-star.

Works perfectly for draining water off my pool cover. And FAST! Just make sure to disconnect the primer bulb after the water starts running or it will be slow (all explained in included instructions).
Don’t waste your money on cheaper ones, this is made in the USA and made to last!

This pump works well, it is neat and clean in its function, and the pump is precise and powerful. The hose is a clear flexible vinyl. The spring is to assist with support in making a tight turn with the hose. The little plastic orange “man” will hold the hose end, onto a variety of containers, with its many different clips and attachments. I don’t give 5 stars much…..but this pump is high quality.

I was able to empty a small garden pond with ease. 3ft lift pulled from the end a 25ft 5/8 garden hose. I didn’t want to suck dirty pond water through the bulb so elected to try pulling from the end of the hose and remove the bulb as the siphon started. Took more squeezes to evac the air in the hose this way, but it worked great! The shake valve works great as well for easier siphon projects.

Exactly what I wanted. The only reason I bought this was for the siphon itself. It appeared to be a heavy-duty rubber siphon that can be used with multiple types of hose. That’s exactly what it is. I am using this to drain my pool cover and I was tired of using cheap siphons that break over time due to plastic fatigue or using my mouth. This siphon has an arrow to show the direction of the water and worked flawlessly with the provided hose and my standard garden hose. I was able to use my 50ft garden hose after about 5 pumps of the bulb. If there was one thing I wish this purchase came with, it would be a larger diameter ~20ft hose. But that by no means takes away from the satisfaction of this purchase.

I remember seeing the “old” way of your mouth on one end of the house and the other in the fuel tank and definitely wasn’t interested in trying that method. I’ve never used a pump for anything before but had recently bought a portable generator and need to drain the gas from the reservoir back into a gas container.

This is a very high quality product. I tried to make a DIY first that did not work at all so I can better appreciate what this siphon pump can do. In less than a minute I had cut the tubing, inserted the pump and started pumping. In this photo it took 2 squeezes of the bulb to flow 5 gallons into the car without spilling a drop. There were only a few ounces left in the can and I could have gotten those out if I needed to. I chose a slow method: if you need to flow more fuel you get it started and pull the pump off the end of the tube. This flowed about 0.5 gallons per minute which suited me fine.

Very heavy-duty, quality materials! I purchased one for my car emergency kit, one for home use, and a couple of spares maybe to give as gifts. I definitely recommend this product!
Kunja Tarpana –
I really appreciated the quality of this pump. Seems pretty simple, a clear plastic tube and a one-way hand pump. But these guys use quality components, don’t feel cheap in your hands, solid and strong suction. I know this isn’t a throw-away item, but something I can use for years. Very impressed with the results and quality!

Once I hit the bottom of the transmission fluid tube, it immediately started sucking up fluid with each hand pump. I used an empty 1 gallon apple juice container to empty out the fluid. The supplied tube holder worked great in holding the opposite end of the tube. I very quickly pumped out the two quarts I needed removed. Once done, I pulled the tube out and that was it.

This thing has a larger hose and primer bulb then I was expecting.
I am very happy with its construction. I use it to transfer gasoline.
I keep extra gas for my mower and generator (about 60 gallons, but to keep the gasoline fresh, I rotate it through my vehicle.
I keep the tank above my vehicle and once I get the fuel moving it goes on its own.
I have used the self priming valve (located in the bottom) a couple of times, I am surprised how easy it works.
I did purchase an extra length of hose instead of cutting the existing hose in half. It fits on the other end of the primer bulb. I did this to allow ease of transfer for me.
If the primer bulb is removed after fuel starts to flow it is much faster then when it is left in place, but for my purposes it works fine with it left in place and the extra hose attached.
So over all five stars, I am very happy with this purchase. (well worth the money)
Amitava Ramchand –
You can use this pump in two ways, one for gravity feed, other other for non-gravity, which is the method I used. For non-gravity suction, you simply cut about 2 feet (or whatever length you need) off the end (the section with the brass fitting). You attach that smaller piece to the end of the one-way hand pump (arrow pointing towards fluid flow). Then attach the long hose section to other side to the pump.

Read so many bad reviews on this product made me shake my head! Read the instructions and set the hose up and the diesel fuel was flowing quickly into my tractor. Fantastic product.
If you use the siphon ball, you must make sure it is facing the correct way as it has a one-way valve. I have used it to remove gas from the riding mower during winter storage and put into my truck. Used this to fill my tractor with diesel fuel all the time. Quick and easy. No more sucking on a hose and waiting to get a mouthful of fuel. The flow is quick. I empty a 5 gallon can into tractor faster with this hose then if I tried to pour it in with the gas can spout and I don’t have to hold the can up. Set can on hood and let it flow and go! Nice to have a product that is actually as good OR BETTER than they claim it is. I am going to buy another to dedicate one for gas and one for diesel so I don’t have to keep cleaning them out each time I switch the uses.

A siphon is a siphon and all siphons obey the same laws of physics that make them work. But some are more equal than others, and this one is the greatest among all the equals. It is very well made from premium materials manufactured in the USA, but it is the many accessories that come with this unit that provide it with many functions not available in other units.
The hose is ⅝” clear heavyweight vinyl made in the USA. Some other units also have ⅝” hose, but not many. If the hose is too small and/or too light weight to keep from crimping the siphon just won’t work.
This unit, like some others, is provided with a bulb hand pump to begin the siphon action, or to use as a complete hand pump when using as a vacuum isn’t possible. The differences are that this is the largest squeeze hand pump I have ever seen with the largest flow rate I have seen.
The bulb hand pump allows connection and disconnection from the hose by just hand pressure – no clamps. This is handy in many situations – some are listed below.
The hand pump has a one way valve that prevents fluid from returning to its source once it has entered this hose. More on this later.
The unit hose is equipped with a “Jigger Foot” that allows creating the siphon action by just “jiggering” the source hose up and down to fill the source hose with fluid. This solution by itself is provided by some others, but my experience with them has not been good. This “Jigger Foot” is also a one way valve, and its importance will be described later.
The unit provides accessories to secure the source hose in its container, coiled wire to prevent crimping as the source hose leaves the source container, a stabilizing tool to stabilize the hose in the target container.
Unlike other units, a manual shutoff valve is provided. This has enormous possibilities, some of which will be discussed.
Last of all, the unit comes with a coupling for the hose in case you want to cut the hose in sections and later rejoin the hose.
When you combine all of these features you are provided with a system that is limited only by your imagination.
Bulb Connect/Disconnect
The bulb pump is attached to the hose by friction. This allows using it as best suits the situation. Install it to use the hand pump. Remove it to increase the flow in vacuum mode.
Hand Pump and Jigger Foot One Way Valve
These valves mean that any fluid pumped into the hose will not return to the source by gravity. That means that you can stop the flow and not need to reprime the system when you want to start it again.
Manual Shutoff Valve
A manual shut off valve is provided. That means you can stop the flow when desired and start it again when desired.
This is a superior system and is worth your consideration.

It lasted two moving seasons which is about what I would expect. I have 15 acres to mow so I ran a lot of gas through this siphon in two years. I do not like to pour gas into my zero-turn, instead, I use this siphon. Takes a little longer but is much easier on my back. I have used the crap out of this thing. The bulb finally wore out so I removed it. The bulb was nice to pump gas into the tank with the gas can on the ground. Now I simply place the gas can on the seat and siphon gas into the tank using the remainder of the tubing. The little giggler valve works great to get the siphon started. The tubing is getting stiff, but that is also to be expected. Without the bulb, the siphon action is much faster.

I have an old Ford Ranger that accidentally had 2 quarts too much transmission fluid in it. I bought this pump based on the reviews and very glad I did. Easily removed the excess fluid, didn’t spill a drop in the process, and couldn’t have been an easier or more cost-effective solution.

Have had four car fuel tank suckers, and just random tubing (and spitting out gasoline!), over the past 30 years. I am using for small engine seasonal gasoline tank transfer and for crankcase sump oil changes. Have not tried to do automobile gasoline transfer yet. These are quality parts and accessories that help meet your fluid transfer needs. This kit will work as siphon or as pump, as you need. To avoid spill from either source container or receiver container. I expect the tubing will remain supple with all temperatures experienced in Maine and for years. Checked it out at negative 3 degrees F two weeks ago (while checking windshield washer fluid levels in vehicles, since it’s stored next to WW fluid jugs) and the 8 feet of tubing had memory of being wound up in the bag the kit comes in, but unwound pretty well, otherwise. I bet it’s Tygon tubing and that you can always replace or have another length available to make the different connections possible with the given parts, without cutting what you get with kit. I suggest that you laminate the instruction sheet, and keep it in the bag, because I think that paperwork will wear out before the parts fail. You may forget about all the uses of the accessories, otherwise. That ‘jiggler’, alone, which will never ozone or sun rot, will always work and allow you to avoid that mouthful of gasoline or kerosene from now on, IMO.

This little inexpensive siphon saved our New Zealand trip. I picked this up as a last minute addition to my roadside emergency kit for a 2 week RV trip. I actually picked it up in case we, or another traveler happened to run out of fuel while traveling the rural roads of NZ. Unfortunately, early one morning before my morning coffee, I was on US mode, and just grabbed the green nozzle to fill the diesel engine RV. Green nozzles are gasoline in NZ… After filling 30% of the tank with the wrong fuel, I realized the mistake. After talking to the RV rental agency and having no other option but a parking lot DIY fix, I was able to completely drain the tank into spare jugs, refill the tank with diesel, and continue on our way. Obviously, I couldn’t fly back with a diesel-soaked siphon, so I just purchased a replacement for my regular roadside kit. I highly recommend for as an emergency option and would opt for the electric pump version if used regularly.

I used the siphon to empty several motorcycles of old gasoline. Once I squeezed the bulb to start the siphon I found the gas would continue to flow as long as the tank being drained was higher then the receiving container. The only caution is the plastic tubes that go on the squeeze bulb are pushing on over the metal tips. Care must be taken to be sure the plastic tubes do not slide off during operation. If this becomes a problem two small hose clamps should hold them on. The plastic device that secures the end of the plastic tube to the tank is a nice touch. Also the plastic device to squeeze off the flow in the plastic tube. I would recommend the siphon to others.

Guys, don’t mess around. So many of us have bought some kind of “inexpensive” siphoning kit and discovered it was actually CHEAP and not worth what we payed for it. I tried and tried to siphon old gas out of my Honda Generator with one of those…finally gave up and (with help) poured gas out of the spout. I use my generators a lot, but not frequently enough that I always use up the fuel while it’s still good. I did the research and bought this kit.

The easiest way to use this product is gonna be with the jigger, without using the priming bulb.
Secure your hose into what needs to be filled (you can use the securing clamp if need be,) use a quick in-out motion to jig the opposite end of the hose, do so until the entire hose line is filled with fluid and the fluid begins to flow.
This thing siphons fast!! I’m talking about 3 gallons a minute fast!! Good old fashion siphoning kit. Totally worth the price and a great product to have around and to gift.
