This device does exactly what it’s supposed to do. it sucks all the air out of the bag and then perfectly seals it. I use it for sous vide cooking, and when I put a bagged item in the water, it sinks to the bottom, indicating that there was no air left in the bag. Its also very easy to use.

This small simple appliance just works. It’s much quieter than the competition, and unlike many models of Food saver I’ve tried over the years, it’s foolproof — the vacuum feature never fails. It works with all brands of bags I’ve tried on it, and will even seal up opened chip bags and the like. I particularly like the pulse vacuum feature, which allows you to evacuate most of the air from a bag without crushing soft items like baked goods.

I bought this initially to use with my Sous Vide. But once I had it in the house, I decided to start vacuum packing meat for the freezer. I bought this as a gift for my son, and he loves it. He was getting ants in the house constantly, though he keeps things clean. They were being attracted to packages that had been opened and rolled down then taped shut. Now, after opening a package of food, he can just reseal it and the ants don’t mess with it.

I have only used a couple of time to split out chicken or steak to smaller packages. It works great once you figure it out. It was hard to understand the picture instructions and once I figured out I had to close the top hard until it clicks, it worked well. I do like it and recommend it.

The product is very light, handy, easy to use, and very easily cleaned. It vacuums and seals with the press of a button and does so quickly. The option to seal only is also available and this works just as well. A cutter is available on the product so that you can custom cut the bags. Love this vacuum sealer. I used one other brand before and it was always a hassle to have the bags completely airtight and sealed.
This machine is great at making sure all air is out of the bag and it completely heat-seals the opening.

I purchased uncut vacuum plastic rolls and cut them to fit whatever I want vacuum sealed. It works great.
